Jon and I enjoyed a quiet weekend with Evelyn. The weather is cool but we still ventured out for Evelyn's first trip to the Michigan Mile for some shopping! She's sleeping well (close to 6 hours a night) and changing so quickly. She seems so much more aware of her surroundings as she was following the mobile around in her pack n play.
Mimi and Grandpa Car brought Grant up to Chicago for his fall break. We went to the Museum of Science and Industry. There was so much to see and do there we could've spent days there. We spent some time downtown visiting Legoland and Rock n Roll McDonald's. We also watched Grant's movie of choice, Transformers 2, and then Jon's choice, Princess Bride. It was quite the study in contrasts!
On Saturday we headed up to Mayville, WI for Fall Fest at the Festerling's. Zach, Ben, Morgan, Sawyer, Madelyn, Teagan, Braden, Mykalojus, and Evelyn all had a wonderful time. We feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends that we always have a great time with. All the kids are so beautiful and we look forward to watching them all grow up together.
Sunday we went to the Rogowski's where Evelyn got to meet her cousin Mia and Uncle Kevin for the first time. It was a beautiful fall day! Kevin grilled some tasty chicken and we enjoyed a nice afternoon with Tracy, Kevin, Mia, Cap and Josh.
