Week 10

We've been doing lots of traveling! Hilton Head was a lot of fun, even though the weather didn't cooperate. We didn't see much sun and it wasn't very warm, but hey we were on vacation! We shopped a lot and ate at all our favorite restaurants. We had to visit Skillets, where I had my bridal brunch, and Steamers, where we had our party after our wedding. Then on our last evening we finally saw a beautiful sunset at the Shore House, where we got married. We wanted to get a token photo of Evelyn in a swimsuit with her feet in the sand (she borrowed and adorable suit and cover up from her cousin Victoria who also visited Hilton Head around the same age), but the first day we tried it started pouring rain on our walk to the beach. Barley on the other hand did enjoy the beach! She went swimming in the ocean several times and got thrown around by the big waves. It's amazing how much energy our dog has! We spent the rest of our time shopping and now Evelyn is going to be one well-dressed baby girl!

Evelyn was a great traveler! She doesn't care where she is at, as long as she gets fed when she's hungry otherwise she'll scream at the top of her lungs! :) She is easily calmed, but if you aren't used to that scream it may scare you! We are completely immune to it and I love watching her pouty faces. We drove straight back from Hilton Head to Indy, which took us about 14 hours, and was so good in her car seat all day! We had to take a detour because there was a major rock slide on our route home so we drove through the beautiful mountains on a nice sunny day.

She is so good about sleeping through the night. There are a few nights where she'll wake up fussing because she wants her pacifier, but then she'll go right back to sleep. We are so lucky!

We spent some time in Indy after we got home from Hilton Head. I celebrated my 28th birthday with my family. Grant and Wyatt were excited to celebrate because that meant that got to eat cupcakes that their mommy made. My dad took Jon and Justin to the Colts/Patriots game. They got to enjoy a very exciting game, and there may be some hope that Jon will convert to a Colts fan one day...probably not. They had so much fun my dad broke the horn on his car because he was honking so much cheering on all the fans after the game!

We also made a visit up to Milwaukee to see Sandy. She had knee surgery and she is already doing so well getting around on her own. She got to hold Evelyn all day and we really loved visiting with her.

Crazy how quickly my maternity leave has gone. Evelyn is growing and changing so quickly. She went in for her 2 month check up and she now weights 9.45 lbs and is 22.5 inches. She had to get her shots and the poor girl screamed so much but once she was in my arms she calmed right down.
