Ears

Our big girl proved just how big and brave she is today. She hopped out of bed before her normal waking hour, sat in the car anxiously repeating what we told her ("we are taking Lydia to Mimi's and then going to see the nice doctor who looked at your ears a few weeks ago"), and sat in the waiting room happy as can be. She seemed so old and mature sitting there and we thought to ourselves when did our baby grow up??

The doctor came to see her, she gave him an apprehensive foot five and then the poor kids that were younger than Evelyn and therefore scheduled before her starting coming out crying hysterically and Evelyn wondered what this was all about. But before much thought they swooped her away, gave her a little anesthesia and popped in the tubes. It was all over in about 10 mins. She handled it like a pro.

She was definitely groggy afterwards but she was her usual self. Crying that she didn't want the juice and just wanted ice water instead or that she didn't want the nurse to turn the light off. Everything always needs to be just so. We left quickly after and tried to get her to watch some movies and take it easy for the day. She was back to her normal self so quickly! Hopefully this is the beginning of a new healthy Evelyn!
