we all went to evelyn's school for the Literacy Night and they ran out of pizza right before we got there and instead of leaving immediately for sustenance we proceeded to visit evelyn's classroom, stopped at the book fair and purchased books, one for each girl, tried to make small talk with other families while not fainting and no we didn't faint but we did knock over one stand of books and calming evelyn down because she was crying she wanted to try out the climbing wall which was finally open to kindergartners but couldn't with her broken arm and she didn't want to leave yet either so we left and the bagel place was closed but wendy's wasn't and there was real happiness, laughter at least, between heidi and i after we had to change the girls orders and between chicken nuggets and jr. cheeseburgers no one was happy certainly not the lady taking the order and somehow it could not have been more of a disaster although drive throughs are designed for ease of use and we wondered aloud, but of course we can't talk to each other between the "daddy daddy.... daddy. excuse me, daddy" anyway we managed to squeeze in some conversation and wonder how it was we saw no other families leaving the Literacy Night with hysterically crying children and how is it there are no other families in this wendy's drive through? so we got home daddy's car somehow got a flat completely flat tire while sitting in the garage heidi left immediately for bible study leaving me with two munching girls and one still crying (there was mustard on her cheeseburger!) mustard?! mustard! daddy demanded who would do such a thing as put mustard on a cheeseburger what kind of world is this so after cutting off the worthless, mustard-coated half of the cheeseburger and tossing it in the trash we called wendy herself, the one who works in fishers at least, put her on speakerphone and demanded (nicely asked) if they always put mustard on their cheeseburgers and the girls were all very satisfied upon finding out that indeed, they always put mustard on the cheeseburgers at wendy's but when dinner ended the tears re-began since there was no playtime, and we wanted playtime so of course bribery took over and treats in the bedroom were promised if we would just get ready and the girls got ready fantastic meaning only one threw a hissy fit about going potty, got seated for treats, and yes those are the same jammies as last night and no i have no idea what juliet is doing and no, if you're wondering, we did not read the new books purchased that night of course the girls chose Once Upon a Potty cuz they are mature minded children and love to laugh at prudence going poopy at only two days old and when she goes poopy and potty almost not quite in the potty, it's a good laugh to see that poop on the floor.
