18 Month Check-up

Evelyn had her 18 month check-up today and she did great. She actually did better than she ever has! I picked her up from Megan's and had to wake her from her nap, which I thought would make her crabby but instead she was so happy! She was singing as we waited for the doctor and when the doctor did come in, she definitely put on her shy act where she tilts her head down, puts a finger up to her mouth and skeptically watches and waits. We discovered that our little girl is still growing at a good rate!

Weight: 26.5 lbs- 77th percentile
Length: 33.75 in- 92nd percentile
Head: 46.8 cm- 54th percentile

Her weight is slowing down, but she is still growing tall! Where did she come from?!

When the doctor asked about her vocabulary I realized that Evelyn seems to say a lot! "Here you go", "Thank you", "Up, please" and singing songs. The doctor even said at this age her vocab would grow a lot more! Amazing how quickly she is growing up! When the nurses came in to give her two shots, she was calm and took it without making a face or even crying. What a trooper. The nurses left the room and she was back to enjoying playing around on the exam table!

At least no one in the waiting room or next door hear her. That is a proud moment.
